Spin the Globe special: Mali

On Friday, February 8, Spin the Globe will be focusing on music and conflict in Mali.  Scott Stevens will be featuring music by artists from the North of Mali, and will talk with Aja Salvatore of Kanaga System Krush Records about his time spent in the region.

Spin the Globe airs from 10 AM to noon PST.

Michigan Bluegrass/Americana band Lindsay Lou and the Flatbellys will be joining Paul Peck on American Anecdotes, Thursday, February 7!  Area residents can catch the band on their west coast tour, which includes stops in Bellingham, Seattle, Port Townsend, Tumwater, and Portland.

The show airs from 6 to 8 PM PST, with a live set and interview in the second hour.

San Francisco’s Brass Menažeri will be playing live on Spin the Globe on Friday, January 25!  This special appearance is part of their Farewell Tour, prior to their appearance at the Longhouse at the Evergreen State College on January 27.

Spin the Globe airs from 10 AM to noon PST.


First KAOS poster

This is the first KAOS poster, designed by one of the station’s co-founders, Tom Anderson.  It was originally printed in 1972, before the station was on the air.
